• PC/Laptop with Windows OS
• MS Excel 2013 or Higher

Procedure

TASK 1: Given a column of full names use Flash Fill to split them into separate columns for first and last
names
1 Data Preparation:

2 Activate Flash Fill:
• In the adjacent cell where you want to apply Flash Fill, start typing the pattern you want Excel to
recognize.
• For example, if you want to extract first names, type the first name in the adjacent cell.
