The bobbin winder: A bobbin is placed here during winding as it is called a bobbin winder. It helps to wind the
sewing thread to the bobbin. The bobbin winding mechanism consist of a bobbin pin/winder to hold the bobbin
while the thread is being wound, thread guides for maintaining tension, and a start/stop lever.
Table Top: The flat bed table top design is best for sewing and give a nice and wide working area for laying
workpieces flat.
Power Switch: The power switch operation feeds the electrical power supply to the sewing machine. Through
operator can switch on and off the sewing machine with just one click. Normally power switch is located on the
right side of the machine.
Servo Motor: Servo motors make a sewing machine move. Some modern sewing machines have servo motors
that can run at up to 45,000 revolutions per minute, when combined with a powerful electrical motor.
Stitch Length Adjustment Knob: Stitch length adjustment knob or regulator is used to control the length of the
stitch. It determines how long each stitch will be on the fabric.
Presser Foot: The presser foot attaches to the presser bar lifter and exerts a small amount of pressure on the
top of the fabric to hold the fabric onto the feed dogs as you sew.
Thread Take-Up Lever: The thread take up lever carries the thread from the top of the machine down to the
needle. The lever rises up and down as the machine sews, helping the thread easily move up and down with the
motion of the needle.
Tension Control Dial: The tension control dial controls the tension of the upper thread. The tension of your
thread may need to be adjusted depending on the type of thread or fabric to be used. An incorrect tension will
cause thread to pull or loop, and can make fabric pucker.
Feed dogs: Feed dogs are toothed metal bars that grab and feed the fabric through the machine.
Needle bar: A steel rod that holds the needle in place with the help of a needle clamp. Its main function is to
give motion to the needle.
Pressure foot Lifter: Pressure foot lifter helps to raise and lower the pressure foot.
Knee Lift: Knee lifts are simple tools that make sewing easier and faster. A knee lift in a sewing machine is a lever
located near the foot pedal that allows you to raise and lower the presser foot without having to use your hands.
This making it easier to pivot or turn corners of fabric while sewing.Knee lifts are especially useful when working
with thick fabrics or multiple layers of fabric, as they allow for more precise control over the fabric.
Foot Pedal: The foot pedal works by telling the machine when to sew and when to stop sewing without using
your hands.
Bobbin & Bobbin Case: The bobbin is very small rolling parts of sewing. The
bobbin is also called a small spindle to roll up thread. It supplies thread toward
the lower layer of the sewing machine. It helps well in stitch formation. The bobbin
cover or case is a plate or hinged door that protects the bobbin mechanism. The
bobbin caser is used to keep the bobbin on it.
