            Objectives

           At the end of this lesson you shall be able to:
           •  explain the principle construction and EMF equation of transformer
           •  explain transformer parts and their functions cooling methods
           •  state the princple construction of auto- transformer
           •  explain current and potentional transformer
           •  explain voltage regulation.


           Static electrical deviceTransfers electric power from one circuit to another. It does so without a change  of
           frequency.  It accomplishes this by electromagnetic induction. Transformer can change the voltage levels of the
           circuits.  There are two or more electric circuits coupled magnetically.



























           Principile Of Operation

           It is based on principle of MUTUAL INDUCTION.
           An e.m.f. is induced in a coil whenan when neighbouring coil changes
