TASK 2 : Draft a paper pattern of gents trouser
Construction
Front

0 – 1 = Full length of trouser – Band width (4cm) + 1 cm for seam = 102 cm
1 – 2 = 6 cm for Bottom fold = 6 cm
1 – 3 = Inside leg length + 1 cm for seam = 75 cm
3 - 4 = 1/12 of Seat = 7.9 cm

1 – 5 = 1/2 of (1–3 measure )+ 5 cm
Draw the square out line
3 – 6 = 1/4 of Seat + 5 cm = 28.75 cm
7 = Is square from 0 & 6 (or)
1/4 Waist + 2 cm for seam + 7 cm for pleat = 29 cm

6 – 8 = 3 – 4 measure = 7.9 cm
Hints
0 – 7 = 1/4 of Waist + 2 cm for seam + 7 cm for pleat = 20 +2+7 = 29 cm

6 – 9 = 1/12 of Seat - 1.5 cm = 7.9 – 1.5 = 6.4 cm
Is mid of 3 – 9
X = Draw the square up& down from X
0 – 10 = 5 – 11 = 2 – 13 = 3 - X measure
11 – 14 = 11 – 15 = 1/4 of Knee width + 0.5 cm = 12.5 cm

12 – 16 = 12 – 17 = 1/ 4 of Bottom + 0.5 cm = 11 cm
13 – 18 = 13 – 19 = 12 – 16 measure + 0.5 cm = 11.5 cm
9 – 8 = 9 – 14 = 3 – 15 = Draw the shape as per the diagram
14 – 16 – 18 = 15 – 17 – 19 = Join it

Side pocket mark
O – N = 4 cm
N – M =1/6 of Seat = 15.8 cm
Pleats
10 – 20 = 4 cm for first pleat = 4 cm

21 = is mid of 0 – 20
Pleat width from 21 = 3 cm
Back
X – Y = 2.5 cm , Join Y - 9 and Produce

9 – 22 = 6 – 9 = Front measure = 6 cm
14 – 23 = 16 – 24 = 18 – 25 = 2 cm
22 – 23 = Draw the shape as per the diagram
