Development
Section
The IMP Development Section of NIMI has
developed appreciable new instructional materials
under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) and
Craft Instructor Training Scheme (CITS) in July 2025.
A total of 17 CTS books were published - 5 in
English, 6 in Tamil, and 6 in Hindi. In addition,
19 CITS books in Hindi were published to support
instructor training.
This effort aims to strengthen vocational education
with updated, multi-language learning materials.
Translation Section
The Translation Section completed the translation of 5
CTS & 5 CITS (TP) books in Hindi.
Under the JSS initiative, 16 books have been
translated into the regional languages to support
regional learners. This includes 6 books in Marathi,
2 in Telugu, 2 in Bengali, and 6 in Punjabi.
With respect to QB tranlation, CTS Question Bank
for various trades were translated in to 12 regional
languages.15 CTS trade QBs were translated in to
Hindi language.
These translations play a vital role in supporting
skill development through multilingual education
resources.
