NSTI Jamshedpur and to explore integrating Jharkhand’s Hunar Portal with the Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH) so
that citizens can access the full range of resources and opportunities available.
In addition, I also had the chance to visit ITI Kaushal College, which exemplifies a successful collaborative model
for vocational education in the state. With 28 Gurukuls (short-term programs) and 9 Kaushal Colleges (long-
term programs) run under the Welfare Department’s initiative, Jharkhand is setting a great example of how
collaboration can scale up vocational training. I urged the state to incorporate such best practices into the New ITI
Upgradation Scheme announced in the Union Budget 2024-25 to ensure that India’s skill ecosystem continues
to grow and evolve in line with global demands. There is incredible potential here in Jharkhand, and with the right
support and strategic planning, we can empower our workforce to drive inclusive, sustainable growth.
