7 Seek Medical Attention
• Determine the severity of the burn. Seek medical attention for:
• Large or deep burns.
• Burns on the face, hands, feet, genitals, or major joints.
• Chemical burns.
• Electrical burns.
• Inhalation of smoke or chemicals.
8 Be Supportive: Offer emotional support to the person experiencing the burn. Pain and shock can be
distressing.
9 Document the Incident: If the burn occurred due to a salon procedure or equipment, document the incident
for later review and improvement of safety protocols.
10 Educate for Prevention:Train salon staff on burn prevention, safe handling of equipment, and the use of
protective measures like gloves and aprons.
11 Review Safety Protocols: Conduct regular reviews of safety protocols in the salon to identify and address
