FITTER - CITS
• Check straightness of side using try square.
• File the adjacent shorter side flat and square to both the finished sides.
• Check squareness (right angle) between both sides using try square.
• Remove burrs/ sharp edge.
• Apply marking media on job surfaces
• Mark lines as per drawing.
• Punch witness marks.
• Mark centre drill for drilling.
• Find hole size for M10X1.5 tapping using formula
TDS=Tap size-2xdepth of thread.
• Drill Ø 6mm in six places.
• Enlarge Ø 8.5mm and chamfered for tapping.
• Hold C’SK drill AM6 for counter sinking
• Use counter sunk drill AM-6
• Set taper tap in Ø 8.5mm hole.
• Check straightness using try square.
• Use medium and bottoming tap.
• Check thread using Bolt Ø 10mm.
• De-burrs and remove sharp edge.
• Apply a little oil and preserve it for evaluation.
