Inspect the weld
Clean the weld thoroughly.
Inspect the fillet for correct shape and size.
No undercut and overlap at the toe of the weld. (Fig 6)
Leg lengths of the fillet almost equal to the plate.

Penetration of the weld complete to the root.
Face of the weld slightly convex.
