1 Irrigation for crops
In irrigation systems, pumps are used to lift water from a water source, such as a well, river, or reservoir, and
deliver it to the fields where crops are grown. These pumps can vary in size and type depending on factors
such as the distance the water needs to be transported, the terrain, and the amount of water required by the
crops. Common types of pumps used in irrigation include centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, and turbine
pumps.
