TASK 3 : Prepare Master pattern
1 Cut the paper pattern and add seam allowance and turning to it for master pattern.
2 Mark all the notches, seamline, cutting line etc.
3 Name all the cut components and mark the grainline, foldline etc.
4 Finally cut the master pattern.
TASK 4 : Lay and cut a belted shorts
1 Lay the fabric on the cutting table with their wrong side facing upwards.
2 Arrange the master pattern of shorts in such a way that fabric utilization is less.
3 Mark the outline of all the shorts components using a marking chalk.
4 Layout the pocket pouches and fly lining components on lining material and cut.
5 Cut two piece of waist band from buckram as interlining. Use waist band component of pattern. Don’t add
seam allowance except 2.5 cm at centre back as inlay. (Fig 1 & 2)
