Before we begin
• Most important aspect of stain removal is pre-treating as early as possible. The earlier you can soak or pre-
treat a stain, the better the chances of being able to remove a stain
• While pre-treating, always test the area of stain with a pre-treating solution to make sure the product doesn’t
damage the entire garment
• Try an enzyme detergent. These detergents are used to break down proteins and lift the stains up
1 Grease
• Rinse the stain immediately with cold water, then rub the stain with the dishwashing liquid to help loosen
the grease
• Rinse it and repeat as necessary
• Then gently rub an enzymatic laundry detergent into the stain, covering the entire area
• Let it stay for 5 to 10 minutes or a little longer
• Without squeezing out the detergent, wash it as usual using the hottest temperature that the fabric can
handle (Fig 1)
