IMPS DEVELOPMENT & DTP
– May 2026 Progress Highlights
The IMPs Development & DTP Department
successfully completed several key activities
during May 2026, aligned with the NSQF 2026
syllabus requirements.
Pricing activities were completed for the trade
subjects of Draughtsman Civil – 1st Year (TP
& TT) and MMV – 1st Year (TP). In addition,
the department accomplished the completion of
Mechanic Diesel – Trade Practical (TP) content
as per the updated NSQF syllabus framework
(2026).
These achievements reflect the department’s
continued commitment towards timely
development, syllabus alignment, and quality
enhancement of instructional materials
supporting vocational training across trades.
TRANSLATION ACTIVITIES
– May 2026
Reinforcing its commitment to inclusive
vocational education, NIMI continued expanding
the reach of skill development resources through
multilingual translations during May 2026.
Agniveer Question Banks for 10 trades were
successfully translated into Hindi. In addition,
48 PM Vishwakarma books were translated into
various regional languages including Assamese,
Odia, Hindi, Marathi, Telugu, Malayalam,
Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, and Punjabi,
enabling wider accessibility of quality learning
materials for trainees across the country.
Through these initiatives, NIMI continues to
bridge language barriers and support equitable
access to vocational education, empowering
learners and institutions nationwide.

I am pleased to present the June 2026 edition
of Skill Samachar, which highlights key
achievements and initiatives across the national
skill ecosystem. This edition showcases NSTI /
ITI success stories, New Age skills such as IoT
Technician (Smart Agriculture), achievements of
trainees from Various NSTIs across the nation,
On-Job-Training for the COPS trade trainees,
Infrastructure development launched, and
other notable initiatives. These collective efforts
reflect our continued commitment to strengthen
vocational education and skill development.
Together, let us advance transformation, foster
collaboration, and build a future-ready workforce
that contributes meaningfully to national growth.

NIMI’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ITI
training through learner-focused digital and
media initiatives continues even this month.
Our recent work features the release of
Interview with Experts - Podcast episodes,
visit of distinguished officials, enriched visual
content, instructional videos, and interactive
learning resources across key trades, along
with expanded blended learning through
expert sessions, mock tests, podcasts, AR
models, and multilingual QR-enabled videos.
These initiatives reaffirm our commitment to
innovation-driven, practical, and accessible
skill training that supports every trainee’s
career journey.
