EXERCISE 91 : Scrap on flat surfaces, curved surfaces
and parallel surfaces and test
Objectives
At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
• file surfaces flat and square to the accuracy of ± 0.04 mm
• find high spots on flat and curved surfaces using prussian blue
• scrap on flat, curved surfaces and test.
Job Sequence
TASK 1: Scraping on flat surface
• Check the raw material for its size.
• File metal to size 96x96x10 mm maintaining flatness and squareness.
• Check the size with vernier caliper.
• Clean the surface plate with soft cloth.
