Witnesses a Historic Milestone
with Inauguration of Advanced
Laboratories
21 May 2026 marked a significant milestone
in India’s skill development journey as
National Skill Training Institute (G) Mumbai
inaugurated six state-of-the-art laboratories in
the esteemed presence of Respected Shri Dilip
Kumar, IAS, Director General, DGT.
The newly launched facilities include a modern
Electrical Lab and five advanced laboratories
established under the CSR initiative of ICICI
Foundation — namely the EV Lab, AR-VR Lab,
Automation Lab, Manufacturing Lab–VMC,
and the prestigious 3D Metal Printing Lab, a
unique facility among NSTIs.
These cutting-edge laboratories represent
a major leap towards Industry 4.0-driven
training and future-ready skill development,
empowering trainees with advanced
technological competencies aligned with
emerging industry demands.

During the visit, the Respected Director
General interacted warmly with staff members,
appreciated their dedication, and encouraged
them through his visionary guidance and
support. A constructive meeting with Tata IIS
was also held to discuss the holistic development
of hostel infrastructure and campus facilities,
further strengthening the institute’s learning
ecosystem.
NIMI congratulates NSTI Mumbai on this
remarkable achievement and acknowledges
the dynamic leadership and continuous efforts
of respected Then Regional Director, Shri C. S.
Murthy, ISDS whose vision and commitment
have played a pivotal role in transforming the
