5 Health Considerations

sensitive skin.
• Diabetic patients: Exercise caution when providing services to customers suffering from diabetes. Healing
is likely to be slower in diabetics, so avoid cutting the cuticles too aggressively. Also, check for any signs of
diabetes-related foot problems such as neuropathy or circulation problems.
• Pregnancy: Pregnant customers may have increased sensitivity. Ensure good ventilation in the salon to
reduce exposure to fumes from nail products. Also, use pregnancy-safe products.
