DRESS MAKING - CITS
1 Center front neck /Center back neck Refers to the center front / back neck of a dress
form or body.
2 Center front waist / Center back waist Refers to the center front / back waist of a dress
form or body.
3 Bust points Refers to the most prominent / highest point of the
bust on each side of the body.
4 Center front bust level Refers to the center front between bust points.
5 Front princess line or ( Side front) / A pair of lines running between CF and SS over
Back princess line or (Side back ) the bust level dividing the shoulder into halves.
A pair of lines running between CB and SS
throughout the back.
6 Mid-armhole front / Refers to the point at mid armhole on ridge. (at
Mid-armhole back level with plate screw)
7 Shoulder tip Refers to the lower shoulder point or the tip of the
shoulder
8 High Shoulder point Refers to the top point of the shoulder on either
side of the neck or where shoulder and neck line
intersect (Shoulder at neck).
9 Armhole ridge or roll line Area on the dress form where the shoulder seam
and the natural armhole intersect.
10 Plate screw Refers to the plate screw on arm plate.(Only on
dummy or dress form )
11 Armhole plate Metal plate on the dress form covering the arm
socket.
