Practice on 301 – Lockstitch machine
Stitching with a lockstitch sewing machine involves creating a secure and durable stitch that prevents seams from
unraveling. Here are the practical steps to stitch using a lockstitch machine:
           1 Thread the Machine:
              - Wind the bobbin with thread and insert it into the bobbin case.
              - Thread the upper part of the machine, passing the thread through the tension discs and needle.
           2 Prepare the Fabric:

              - Place the fabric layers you want to stitch under the presser foot.
              - Fold back any lining or interlining if applicable.
           3 Position the Needle:
              - Lower the presser foot.

              - Position the needle above the fabric where you want to start stitching.
           4 Stitching Process:
              - Start sewing the fabric (always start and end sewing with a backtack).
              - Stitch through both the lining/interlining and the main fabric.
              - Continue this process all the way from the base to the top of the fabric.

           5 Finishing:
              - Trim any excess thread.
