CRAFTSMEN TRAINING SCHEME (CTS) - 1 YEAR COURSE

Agriculture is rapidly becoming a technology-driven industry, creating
exciting new career opportunities for young professionals. From smart
irrigation and precision farming to drones and sensor-based crop
monitoring, farms today are increasingly powered by data and automation.
To meet this growing demand, the Ministry of Skill Development and
Entrepreneurship (MSDE), through the Directorate General of Training
(DGT), has introduced the IoT Technician (Smart Agriculture) trade
under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS).

This one-year course is offered through DGT-affiliated ITIs and select
NSTIs across India. It combines agriculture with cutting-edge technologies
such as IoT, sensors, microcontrollers, wireless communication, cloud
platforms, solar systems, and networking. Students learn how to install,
configure, and maintain smart farming solutions that improve productivity
and resource management.
A FUTURE - READY
A key highlight of the course is its strong practical focus. Trainees work COURSE THAT COMBINES
