2.1.2. INTERLINING INSPECTION:
Interlining is one kind of accessories that is used between the two layers of fabric in a garment. To keep the
different component or part of apparel in a desired shape, a kind of fabric is used between the two ply of fabric by
sewing or fusing is called interlining.
Interlining of good quality gives the effect of good finished appearance to the garment. Before use the interlining
for mass production some tests are to be done to detect the defect less material. The purpose of fusible interlining
is to give shape or form and to improve the aesthetic of garment. There is no better test other than to accurately
fused the interlining with the aim an item fabric and evaluate such sample before starting the mass production.
Therefore cut at least 12x12 inches of fabric and fused there 9x9 inches interlining at recommended temperature
and pressure then check three specimens for compatibility shrinkage and stain. Compatibility means the fusible
material should provide good durability and support without altering the natural hang of fabric. Shrinkage can
be measure by placing gauge bar on the interlining and shade fabric before fusing. And measure the distance
between gauge marks after fusing.

2.1.3. SEWING THREAD INSPECTION:
During the sewing process in high speed lock stitch machine the thread is subjected to complex kinetic energy
and dynamic condition, sewing threads should be check and tested for the following characteristics:-
1 Imperfection
2 Finishing
3 Colour
4 Winding
