ENGINEERING DRAWING - CITS

           Exercise 5.31
Draw the oblique view of the bracket (Fig 31) by cavalier method.
           • Construct boxes covering base and top.
           • Envelope shape excluding the curved portion to the box drawn. (Fig 31 a)

           • Locate and mark the centre of circle/curve on both surfaces. (Fig 31 b)
           • Draw arcs and circles on both surfaces.
           • Join the periphery of circles with a tangent.
           • Rub off the unwanted lines and complete the oblique view. (Fig 31 c)

           • Read and transfer the dimensions to the oblique view from the given view of the object.

           Exercise 5.32

Draw the oblique view of the component in cabinet method. (Fig 32)
           • Draw the oblique projection of the component shown in cabinet method shown.

           • Procedure of drawing this component is similar to that of the previous exercises except the inclined lines are
to be drawn to half of the true length (inclined lines) as drawn to 12.5 mm instead of 25 mm.
           • Figure 32 a shows the oblique view of the component in cabinet method.
