After treatment: Cooling of the job after hard facing should be slow and uniform.
The usual method is to cover it with dry insulating powder so that slow cooling is ensured. The insulating materials
commonly used are slaked lime, ash, sand, mica dust, asbestos powder, etc. The slow cooling can be done by
using asbestos mat also.
