              Marking Tools

           1 Clay Tailor’s Chalk
Tailor’s chalk is specially made for fabric marking and comes in many colors. It is Use for
marking adjusted seams and style lines. It is very easy to use, and convenient to hold
and is gone with a wet wipe or wash.

           2 Wax Tailor’s Chalk
Wax Chalk is suitable for almost any fabric. It’s visible on darker fabrics and is perfect for
heavy, textured materials like wool or felt that can be difficult to visibly mark with other
tools. Since it is made of wax, can be more challenging to remove marks.

           3 Chalk pencils
Chalk pencil is much better than triangle-shaped tailor’s chalk. It doesn’t come off easily
like the regular chalk but goes off completely when washed. It is available in many
colors and can be sharpened, leaving accurate lines on the fabric. There are also pencils
available in which you can change the leads.

           4 Chalk wheel
A chalk wheel is a commercially available product that makes a line of powdered chalk
on the fabric. This is usually washed or brushed away easily.

           5 Carbon Tracing Paper

It is a type of thin paper coated with a layer of coloured carbon that transfers markings
onto fabric. Carbon tracing paper is often used for marking darts, pleats, and other
pattern markings onto fabric. It can also be used to transfer seam lines or cutting lines.
First place the paper (carbon-side down) on the fabric, and then place a pattern on
top, then trace over the pattern, and the colour from the tracing paper will transfer the
           markings onto the fabric.
